almost end

So I only have 5 shifts left.... Yeah! This does, however, bring to light the fact that I am a terrible blogger.... I meant to be all cool and post all my stories of awesomeness and life-saving, adrenalin filled calls. Unfortunately, as I now recall, I'm super duper lazy. So I didn't. But here are some cool things I got to do while chilling here in the OKC:
  • Started a zillion IVs
  • Got hit on by drunk dudes
  • Not fallen on a patient while transporting hot (lights and sirens) to the hospital.
  • Broken a seizure with versed
  • Wrastled with a postictal seizure patient
  • Soft-restrained a postictal seizure patient to the cot
  • Sprayed Versed up the nose of a postictal seizure patient while trying not to choke them
  • Got hit on by old guys
  • Got serenaded by an old guy
  • Reversed some highs with Naloxone
  • Bagged (breathed) for a patient
  • Chemically assisted in intubating a patient with versed
  • Intubated a patient who was not really breathing
  • Shaved a few hairy chests to do 12-lead ECGs
  • C-Collared and back-boarded a ton of patients old and young
  • Seen an amputated arm
  • Saw someone put their head through drywall after falling over a second story railing and not have anything wrong with them
  • Seen dead people miraculously recover (only because they were just drunk and some people don't know how to properly find a pulse)
  • Stopped an arterial bleed
  • Cleaned vomit off of several patients (oh wait, that wasn't cool...)
  • Seen someone taken down by PD
Now my ADD has caught up with me so the list falls short. Needless to say this has been freaking awesome. Especially the late nights with Emily and AMP giggling and pushing each others buttons.... Emily may be excited that her husband is coming to pick her up next week, but we all know she is going to miss AMP and I. They all will miss the free movies at the Bricktown Harkins I got us into (thanks to McCoy). I will miss playing Monopoly the card game and seeing ambrocis the spider on my way to work in the morning. Ok I won't really miss the spider because he is huge and freaky... and missing... hopefully he is dead and not lurking somewhere in my apartment. I won't miss our neighbors downstairs who told the office that a noise complaint filed against them had to be us above them because we just moved in when they got it even though it came from the apartment below them...
I am so excited to see Risi (my sister). She is flying out here next week to drive home with me! Yay! The separation we have endured has been acutely excruciating....
Well, I'll do another post here with some pictures I took on the ambi that I as of yet have been too lazy to upload. So look forward to that.

Oh and since I had a critic of my last post I am going to end with this disclaimer: I don't know how to spell and have atrocious grammar. If it bothers you, then you're probably going to want to skip this post. Well, this entire blog. All 3 posts.
